    Wavy envelopes on es3505ac

It's been running #10 envelopes great! Customer has a envelope tray. Fuser has 20k on it. But, now the envelopes are coming out wavy. They are running the same envelopes as in the past. Not sure what has changed in the last week or so to make them wavy. I had them try different envelopes and still wavy. I'm not sure if I should try and turn up the heat or down!

What firmware level is the copier at?

What version of print driver are you using?

What software application are they printing envelopes from?

Is the Envelope tray in Slot 2, 3 or 4?

Does the same thing happen when you prints envelopes from the bypass?

Are the paper guides snug to the Envelopes in the Envelope tray?

There are other parts apart fuser that may be worn out. I would start by inspecting exit rollers and its drive.
Btw, FW and print driver have nothing to do with this issue especially if machine was printing envelopes well before.

are the flaps sticking to the envelope? (indicating moisture)

no print drivers nor firmware are not the problem

If you want technical support from Toshiba, these are standard questions that you need to be prepared to answer especially on discontinued product.

Toshiba will not support old versions of either.

Those questions are TYPICAL of ALL manufactures .... but the questions are irrelevant to the problem at hand.

funny how some are now adopting " The Dentists " usual line of questioning!

    Re: Wavy envelopes on es3505ac

Via the print driver try printing at Thick 1. The envelope will pass through the copier a little slower, allowing more heat to penetrate the envelope.

You can progressively try Thick 2 and Thick 3.

The e3505AC series has proven quite good at printing envelopes without wrinkling or sealing the envelope.

Buy a fresh pack of #10 envelopes and test.
