Hi,
I just replaced my transfer belt with a whole used assembly.. I checked it and cleaned and lubed everything... it looked good.. installed it on my 281c I do print runs of 500 at a time.. oh I reset the calibration.. anyhow.. every few pages it puts a thin line through the whole page at random.. anywhere on the page, sometimes (not often) on the back of the page?? more at first less when the print run hits 200+..
Any suggestions will be haply accepted.

2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

do I have too.. its a long thin line that goes across the whole page sometimes the middle sometimes up top.. I do B&W print runs so its black.. I could draw the line for Ya... besides.. for some reason I do not network the computer to it so its just a usb cable and it wont scan to computer.. could it be the charge wire or something...needing cleaning.. I cleaned all the blades and the assembly to transfer belt...

OK I will get the cannon scanner out of the parts shed.. to be continued...oh and be warned you may not like the print runs I do.. I'll do it in the afternoon.. Cheers.. and I do appreciate ..
crappy little scanner.. there is a line across the page..sometimes every 10 or 20 prints.. now the attachments wont let me upload.. insert pic.. no go.. and my attachments are on.. I give up.

maybe someone else has time to devote to your problem .. I have done ALL I can/willing to go to .. to help you .. clean the damn scanner glass and try again. Copiers Scanners 100.

no problem Phil.. delete this thread its just a line across the page when I print. I will re clean everything after the next print run.. read the file link and still cant upload the scanned pic.. thanks goodbye.
