eStudio 2540c Black Toner Not Recognised

Hi all, I tried to post but it went no where.
I have a 2540c and it won't recognise the black toner, even with a new toner in there. I am guessing it is the part that reads the chip on the toner, it is caked in toner so maybe just needs to be cleaned.
Does anyone have a servicing guide for this model so I can see how to disassemble the machine so I can clean it out?
    Thanks in advance

Start by removing the inner cover where the copies land. Remove all the toner carts. You will see each individual toner cart drive and assy that have to be cleaned so they recognize the toner carts. Sometimes they have to be completely removed and cleaned to get them to work correctly.

Make sure you are using Toshiba original OEM toner.
