    2550c light copies black

    went in a week ago to very light black copies and prints i ran the toner motor for a minute copies where perfect so i calibrated the dv at that level it lasted a week and now is light again is there a 08 code for amount of toner drop to dv or what am i missing
    thanks as usual for any thoughts

    Sounds like you are just papering over an underlying problem. You made no mention of where the copier is at in its pm schedule. Are you at or over pm and/or drive counts for this copier? Did you remove, inspect and clean the charger assy?

    machine has 26k total 20k black 6k color charger looks fine spiked dv with toner imediatly looks fine gets light a week later

    Well that developer is 8 years old, and not stirred very much. I'd check the developer bearings to make sure they aren't leaking, then change the D-FC30-K. =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
