[QUOTE=mojorolla;1721511]Try another drum UNIT. I have seen these frames crack and this model is no "spring chicken".
These units are interchangeable, one screw, two clips to swap out the colored front piece.
What are the auto toner sensor readings in service mode ?
Pull and clean the ATS sensor during developer rebuild ?
Verify / adjust doctor blade ?

    Hey Mojorolla

did check the Doctor blade and all was well. Have replaced the ATS. Reading was 635. Well over the set limit.

Typically with Toshibas, if you have a primary charge loss to any color, the toner in the developer will feed out onto the primary transfer belt in about 60 seconds ... yes all of it. But ... it usually leaves the developer particles intact, and when the charge problem is resolved the color typically tones back up without developer change.

The only machines that I have seen dump the full load of developer instantly (15 seconds or less) are Konica Minolta bizhub C458, and it turned out to be a bad HVT. I may have changed only one HVT on a Toshiba ever, and it was for a dead short blowing the power supply.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Hi Tsbservices
yes that was my afterthought. But i must investigate all possibilities. I think i will source a drum unit and dev unit and try that to eliminate those possibilities befor i tackle the possibility of the logic board.

I will not let this woop me. Going back to basics and try replacement (known good ones). To eliminate each possibility.

I must admit I touched only few digital Toshys in last 10 years so please forgive my ignorance. If new developer was charged together with new ATS sensor and no drum-dev-grid shortages are found...unfortunately that leaves next logic board.

Testing the lamps can be done with all the parts inside, just cheat the front door interlock switch and front cover open/close sensor and don't leave the lamps On for a long time. You should have a good visibility over each lamp

    Ok Update,

I have put in know good developer units and drum units, went to do 05-2404 and the same thing happened. Taking it back to the shop. have some good donors there and will try the logic board.

In the mean time I put a Kyocera TA 2552 in their area and maybe I can get them to upgrade....
