Toshiba e-Studio 255 - CB30 Error

The e255 was discontinued long ago and is no longer supported by Toshiba.

It appears the issue is with the Finisher. Just remove it and be happy.

Error codes are in the service Handbook on these and not the service manual


Tray lift motor abnormality: The tray lift motor is not
rotating normally or the delivery tray is not moving
normally. [MJ-1025]
Tray 1/Tray 2 shift motor abnormality: Tray 1/Tray 2 shift
motor is not rotating or delivery tray is not moving
normally. [MJ-1024]
Movable tray shift motor abnormality: The movable tray
shift motor is not rotating or the movable tray is not
moving normally. [MJ-1101]

This points to the Finisher - could be half a dozen things. Being an unknown copier you did not install or ship to the customer ...frame damage, gears out of place, sensors broken/bad, missing parts..who knows....I'd take off the bridge unit and finisher and use it that way - support is discontinued and your going to be in it deep time wise troubleshooting.

Disabling or Bypassing the Tray 1 resolved the issue.

Not really totally resolved, but end-user is okay with that.
