    E457 FW installation

I have a F520 code on my ES 457, I have the firmware installed on a 16gb USB and when I insert in the copier and pull up mode 49, I get the message that, No Data is on the USB storage device. I have also tried a 2gb usb and get the same problem

have you followed the firmware instructions in the manual?

is the 2gb usb formatted in FAT32?

    are the files unpacked?

I have several USB's in my computer case, and inevitably I choose the one with nothing on it, lol.

But seriously, make sure its USB2, not USB3. The smaller the stick the better, 2GB works great. FAT32, without multiple partitions. There should be a folder on the root named 2050_5050 (I think). When you extract the firmware you'll see the folder.

Did you format the drive? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
