    es5560 hdd erase

Just took in on trade. Want to clear hdd before going to broker. 08-690 doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe I am keying it wrong, don't have manual.

08-690 is old machines. If you format HDD on this model you need will need firmware to reload!!!
If your machine has current firmware you can run 08-8615, it's a decommission mode. It takes about 10 to 25 minutes. After that's done run 08-8616, to re commission.

I usually do a Factory Default in User Functions->Admin-> scroll down and hit Factory Default. Customer data is all erased also network information/scanning etc, no need to realod any FW. Never used the above 08 code but seems a good idea to try it myself.

    Re: es5560 hdd erase

I did them both. Not sure what the difference is. The first one through user functions did the trick just fine. I am guessing the 08-8615 probably rewrote a user partition on the hdd.

Thanks for all of the replies
