    Toshiba Automatic meter reads

I have many copiers that are programmed to automatically report their monthly meter reads on the 15th of each month via the built in utility in the LCD panel.

As it happens there was a big snow storm, high winds and a power outage across several provinces here last night.

If the power is out, the copier cannot automatically report by email or fax.

You have to wait until the next month to get the meters automatically sent to you.

I know there are other paid solutions like FMAudit or ECloudConnect but I like the free low tech Toshiba solution.

What's the point of your post? You cannot setup second day (another time) for a counter to be sent?

... it never crossed my mind to do so. I get enough emails already.

We do our emails on the 1st and 15th, FM audit does work with Toshiba. I've had another company point to 3manager recently for device management. Any Snmp tool should work.

I just export a meter report from the Toshiba cloud connect site or manually look up a machine.

99% of our copier fleet in cloud connect and the 1% know they must provide meters manually or be charged extra for us to either call or onsite to track them down.

It's also cut down on stupid calls like its just jamming everywhere and you need to come fix it...quick MMDT2 of current cloud info and we see that its paper size miss-match jams...

I agree, I use ECC on every Toshiba device I can. I also utilize the internal email/fax feature and Fm Audit. I like to be sure things run smoothly.
