    Toshiba 5506AC Dark band

I have a Toshiba 5506AC that has large dark bands as per the attached image. Yes, I do have the manual but I don't see anything that explains this. Long time Kyocera/Ricoh tech and I have never come across this. Any Help would be appreciated sample.pdf

Have you removed the transfer belt and looked at it?

Since it seems to affect all the base colors equally I'd suspect 2nd transfer. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If it's not second transfer, I'm wondering if there's an obstruction in the optics. If it's calibrating to the white plate, and there's an obstruction, perhaps that would be your result. I can't say I've seen that before though.

    Re: Toshiba 5506AC Dark band

What kind of enviroment is the machine located?
I had one that was in a metal fabrication office, and the machine was located RIGHT NEXT to the door that
went to the shop. I pulled the laser and there was a band of dust, in the same place, on all four mirrors.
Also, the polygon mirror was etched. Dark on one edge and lightened up to the other edge.
I cleaned the laser mirrors, replaced the polygon motor/mirror assembly, and used foam tape around the inside
edge of the laser cover, and the heat sink for the laser motor. Problem disappeared and no issues with the
    motor overheating.
I called the hotline to let them know what I found and they said "you can't take the laser apart, it's a sealed unit"
I told them then why are there screws holding the lid on? I also said hey, no pain no gain. It was already broken
so I had nothing to lose.

I have the same exact problem with a Toshiba 5506AC, were you able to resolve your issue? We are going to replace the 2nd transfer roller, but my guess is that it may be the laser unit. Thanks.

I have this exact issue. Has anyone figured this out?

It's definitely an internal print issue and has nothing to do with the optics
