I added developer, not toner from previous series of mfp's. My mistake. Also, I credit the customer for toner consumed or bring with semi full toners and consume ours instead of the customers.
I do not find it hard to believe that Developer from a e3005AC will work in a e3015AC.
What I am interested in for you to reclarify, is that in a previous post you said you put black developer, in a spent colour developer hopper, ran 100 full colour prints and evenutally the colour image colour quality became acceptable?
I know the high end Toshiba colour 65 cpm+copiers have developer in the colour toner but I am sure there is no developer in the colour toner for the 25-45 cpm models.
You are correct. On a console higher speed mfp such as a 7516ac, 7506ac Toshiba, color does come premixed in toner, however sometimes the LED discharge gets blocked, and it pulls so much dev that you have to add some from a dev kit. I have not tried adding the toner that comes with developer mixed in with it directly on the mag roller on a higher end mfp. I have added K developer from a 2040ac to a 7516ac and burned the excess k toner and for that jump it looks normal.
BTW, this isn't something I'd do on a new install simply as I have not tested it. However, if you need to limp a mfp along for a few years this seems to work on the 20 mfp's I've tested it in.
Toshibas are very forgiving in this aspect.
We have used xx55 DV in the xx05 and xx15 and vice versa, not something you want to leave running for an extended period but, it will "get you out the door".
You can also swap toner carts between these models by swapping the toner chips and cutting of the tab on the front of the cart. Keep in mind toner % will be whatever is left on the chip you took it from. Again, not something to be left for an extended period of time.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!
... most of the copiers that would be in this situation should be approaching the end of their 60 month leases. If you cannot upgrade the copier right away, there seems to be a good opportunity to reduce your costs and use an earlier version of developer to keep the copier working. As the copier is getting old, the user should not expect perfect colour prints.
you got me thinking lol....so i put the old D-FC55 cyan in e-2555 cyan developer(i measure 250g) and cyan copy is rock solid so i can use old developers 55 on this models 2555/3555
Use FC30 developer it's cheaper
