I assume your cryptic response means you have confgfured the Port properly.
By both, do you mean you have installed both 32 bit and 64 bit print drivers on multiple different Print Driver?
Is there a specific application that is causing a problem?
I have been installing Tosh machines for a few years and am very familiar with the setup and always use lpr/print etc.
Drivers installed where as follows.
64bit 2008 print server with 32bit as addition drivers serving 32 bit XP, 32 & 64 bit Win7 client cd v1.0
32 bit 2003 print server with 64bit as additional drivers client cd v1.2 then v2.1
Once we found that the universal driver installed on a server must have plugins NOT installed.
Current issues are
slow response (customer wants deparment codes and there is a delay between pressing print and the driving asking for the code)
both machines intermitantly lock up seesm very random but turn them off and on again and everything prints. (they don't do it at the same time)
Have you upgraded firmware to latest Ver 2000?
08-9900 Displays firmware level.
Machines arrived on 1040, initialy upgraded to 1050 then were given 2000 a few days before it was released.
Apparently eBridge X Mono machines are on there way next month, both the 455 and 855 series
Thats all i know ATM...
Cheers Cam
I hope everyone is having better luck with these machines than I am.
The new Universel print driver is absolutely crap. Whats more is that once you have installed the driver, you then need to install some plugins so that you get all your colour options and stuff like that.
We are constantly getting print errors from print jobs not being printed properly with PDL errors. I spoke to Toshiba Aus about this and they have agreed that the drivers are something yet to be desired.
Hopefully this gets fixed before release in other countries.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
We had some initial teething problems when we put these out in the field. All issues seemed driver related. As a copier, they seem like real work horse's, (something Toshi has been lacking some what.) I've found adjusting the drivers, before you open your application has solved some print errors. Also, forget the universal driver. The proper drivers do seem to work, they just need some tweaking before they do.

Toshiba only offer the Universal driver for PCL, but you also need the Universal driver if you want to use PS3 with Postscript Passthrough disabled.

I have an es-6530 PCL6 driver.
