The paper size is not a problem. There is A4 <> Letter paper substitution set up in settings.

I ordered one. A used one from the listing you quoted. Can you advice how many warmups does it survive? Could it be what contributed to its premature death the fact that printer was resetting itself at midnight and reheating inks every day?
How many sheets on the unit you have? They tend to get brittle gears and stance shutter at 750,000 copies. Sometimes you just have bad luck and they let go sooner. I will point out in the vid what to check for.
The resets at midnight wouldn't cause this piece to fail. It dies due to copies and age.

If you look at 89-520 in the service manual figure 2. That sensor cap that the arrow points to always de-bonds from the shaft. Once it has let go your finished.
