Hi, this Xerox machine was working very well, all of a sudden it started displaying fuser unit incompatible or fuser is warming up.

start with replacing the fuser!

Sounds as nvm corruption. Pull qut the drawer from back side of the scanner and you'll see dimm board with yellow battery on it. Dont remove the batt. On two close pins of the battery you must have over 2.5 volts.
If this tension is lower the you must replace the battery.
