slower authentication login xerox workcentre 5865

Good morning everyone, I have probleme with xerox workcentre 5865 when I use cart reader for authentification with equitrac solution the machine take 10 to 13 seconds to login it is very slower the level of the software version is 73.190.075.34540 Have you a solution for this probleme please???

is that just an embedded application or need a external hardware ?
and what about the cost of the equipment ?
and which brands is support ?

If Equitrac is in picture, I would think there are multiple machines in place.

Is the problem only with one machine, or more than one?

Not a machine issue if the’re all slow.

I had a similar issue about 3 years ago with Ricoh Card Authentication Package, where the copiers were not set up right in DNS.

Ping a machine, both by its host name and IP address; both should respond.

In my case, I could ping the IP, but not the host name.

Turned out that none of the machines had an “A Record” in DNS, causing a major slowdown.

Once IT entered all of them in DNS, life was good, and authentication was fast.

Good day to all. I agree with KenB. You have to make sure that the Equitrac is set up correctly. You will have some delay when using an external verification for access. This is common as these devices lock down entire machine and have to verify credentials sometimes against multiple systems.

Here is an example.
You go to work and enter your building, walk up stairs and viola your are at work. Now if you have a security desk, you enter the building, check in with security, verify who you are and then are granted access to building.

thanks you all for your responses in site I have 10 machines work with equitrac solution the probleme is in the machine not in equitrac because I have xerox altalink C8045 in the same site the machine take only 5 seconds to authentificate but with the machine xerox WC 5865 I have 5 machine It take about 15 seconds to autontificate its very very slow on the other hand xerox altalink is very fast with the same network parameter
