    XEROX D110 FAULT 077-142

Have this machine getting this jam. has about 8 million copies on machine. Gets through the registration assembly and stops at the inlet lower chute. Pulled registration assembly out and cleaned. Also pulled Inlet chute out and checked. Checked sensors in service mode and they change state. Sometimes it will run for awhile but once it starts it happens consistently. Anybody seen this before?

    well...

what is the total page count?
has the unit been getting regular PM?
did you CLEAN the machine when you had all those parts out?
when you cleaned reg assm... did you recondition the rubber rollers w/ a good cleaner?
you checked sensors... what about motors/clutches? did you physically check operation/visual inspect of the sensors?
is the paper nicked/bent BEFORE the reg assm (jam area) ?

so many questions... so little information..

i said it has 8 million clicks on it. I always clean the rollers and sensors. If you now the machine you would now there are not any clutches in that assembly only one motor. i take it you have not seen this fault.

Thanks adriansto I was wondering about the connector. Have seen paper jammed in those type of connectors on other machines. Have ordered some parts and will double check when I go back.

Check if the Pre Registration motor drive gear has a crack causing inconsistent drive

Was this resolved? I have a D95 that is doing the same thing that I can get but a few sheets through. It will throw 077-142

Hard to remember that far back. I may have replaced the Inverter chute assembly.
