    FX CM415 fuser replacement

Hi Guys, we have a FX CM415 that was telling us the fuser unit needed replacing soon, ordered a brand new fuser (and transfer unit) and replaced both. The machine is now telling us to replace the fuser unit - how do we clear this message - machine is working fine - customer doesn't like the message!.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Nigel

    Hi Phil,

    Thanks for your reply.

One of our techs did this job so I can't say whether he turned it off first but I suspect he didn't - I did ask him that as a hunch and he was vague. Is there another way to reset this?

    Cheers

Not completely sure.. might have to jumper the fuse on chip or replace chip..
If bought from Xerox approved parts..
Fudge it.. send it back.. they are pretty good on FOC replacement..
    Where did you purchase from?
When trying to get RMA ...
BE SURE TO CHECK SM FOR PROPER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE......
and stat that clearly in rma report.
    Good luck
