phaser 3635 background only w/dadf

have one of these that has developed a background issue only when using the doc feeder. hinges are good and copies from glass are good and shading test says good. appears electrical but i'll try another feeder just to narrow it down. has anyone seen this before i tear it apart to find out what it is. thanks--tuey

did you clean the lens/mirrors/ccd properly/white plate

then do scanner/adf cali again

not sure what items you have..

thanks phil, i went back to machine and due to lack of time i switched doc feeders and problem seems to be gone, which i think points to hinge. i will replace left hinge and let you know what happens. if not hinge gotta be electrical- board or connector maybe. thanks again-- tuey

got another 3635 that when copying, the print from side to side is probably 110% enlarged, top to bottom its right on. gonna mess with side registration tomorow and see what happens. prints are perfect. set it to 95% reduction so copies fit on paper till i get back. one of them days. tuey

the white plastic bar on the bottom was gone, and the springs also obviously. wonder how they lost all that? oh well, made me feel like a dumbass for not seeing it was gone. one down one to go. tuey
