Versalink c405 admin password

Per Xerox Tech Support, Newer machines with recent firmware use the serial number as the admin password. Once in, you can change the admin to whatever you want.

When Xerox makes their devices now, their SN is their password NOT 1111. Once you log into the device, it will ask you to change it. I would recomond 1111.

I got my code and following the instructions in the manual.I cant find the direct print utility.Why does Xerox make it so hard.Other manufactures I just have to go into service mode.

Are you trying to log into your device as an admin. First try the SN if that does t work, try 1111. If not you will need to do a factory reset.

OK I found the software and got it working.Thank you Xerox for making everything harder than it should be.

I am 3rd party for a nonprofit and their old IT has changed the admin password on the Versalink c4505 , will someone please assist getting the password reset?

I too have managed to get locked out of the Admin log in on a C405 plus had a change of WiFi (forced upon us by a change in landlord), are you able to still help us? I can send you the serial number, report and impressions. I didn't want to just email out of the blue, seemed to be a bit rude to that
