I actually got lock out of my admin login with too many tries. Can someone reset my machine for me?
I have reset the admin password to a unique one about 6 months ago and cleverly I have forgotten the new password! Is there anyway to reset the admin password or reset to factory defaults without the new password? Thanks in advance
I can do that.

We just set up a Versant 280, and some of the sales, installers must have entered it incorrectly too many
times & locked it out. I went into service mode (0/start) and in the security settings is a place to
reset the user/password. Did that, rebooted from a cold start and the admin/password was reset.
Hi, I sent you an email on a new c605/xlm . I downloaded the driver online. I turned it on today to test all functions and it has a TOTAL IMPRESSIONS of 4. I had no idea that I had to login to Admin for additional features etc. I had no idea what the default password was so I tried 1111.5, 1111, 6789 etc etc and finally locked me had for too many tries.
I did send you an email to see if you are able to help with this. I appreciate it and thanks. Sorry as I didn't want to open a new THREAD unless needed.
Thanks!

Hi I'm ebardie, and I changed the default admin password on my C405, then forgot it.
Then I bought the wifi module, needed to log in as admin to configure it, and discovered I'd forgotten the admin password. Doh!
The solution for me was to get access through the hidden Diagnostics Menu to the Factory Reset function.
You may want to not reset all of your settings. I'd not done all that much with my settings, so I was happy to redo them in the wizard.
If you're happy to do a factory reset, read on.
Even though it doesn't mention the C405, the info from this link worked fine:
- Hold the Home button down for 7 seconds then release it - note the "then release"
- Enter 6789
That gets you in to Diagnostics Mode. To do the factory reset:
- Go in to the "Devices" app
- Scroll down and go in to the "Resets" menu
- Select "Reset to Factory Defaults"
IIRC there's a confirmation step, but I'm not doing it again just to find out for you
The screen warns that it may take several aeons to complete the process, but in my case it was a just a couple of minutes. The C405 rebooted and went in to the first use configuration wizard.
Most importantly the admin password was reset to the serial number. Huzzah!
I now have my C405 working via wifi, so I'm a happy camper \o/
