What do i look for next?

on brass bushings it's best to use a light oil not WD-40 ... decades ago Canon and Xerox goth made a statement that WD-40 DRIES out the bushing causing wear and squeaking.

I recommend using TriFlow oil. it has teflon particles in it and doesn't dry the bushing out.

WD-40 isn't actually a true lubricant. WD stands for "water displacing" and its main use is as a solvent or rust dissolver.
