    C75 won't duplex

My C75 won't duplex. it prints the first side, goes through the duplex start to go into the transport roll and stops. The transport roll isn't advancing the sheet into the pre registration roll. No fault codes, just clear the "jam". Checked sensors for obstructions don't see anything.
What do i look for next?
    TIA

check the error log... it should mention the jam code.

sensors could be bad or whacked.. you would have to check sensors in service mode.

have you cleaned the duplex rollers?

you should buy a service manual for that.. it's like pissing in the wind without one.

Cleaned rollers, still throws 077-130 Dup out sensor... how does one check this sensor?

2 favourites are the drive for the duplex belt has become worn or, if it is not picking up from the lower paper trays a cog has slightly slipped because it has a crack in it. and annoyingly it is not spared without buying the motor.

    Re: C75 won't duplex

Hi, I had the same issue on our C75. Checked all and cleaned it all, but it still did not duplex. The i tightened the tooth belt which drives the duplexing unit (long belt) it seemed to fall off at times. Then it worked fine for a while. At present I can not duplex again - I timed the duplexing and found to duplex manually is faster, so now we duplex (turn) the pages manually after printing the even lot first and then the odd lot. Less hassles, less down time - no problems. The only problem is that on the C75 we only have Freeflow (what a waste of software) where I can not set odd or even pages, so I have to kind of impose them manually - but that is also chop chop.

Would be interesting to hear what you fix?

    Re: C75 won't duplex

The fix is usually 1 or 2 things. The first is the idlers along the duplex drive belt have too much drag due to wear. When its the drive belt issue, the paper never enters the duplex path. I've been working on inserting bearings along the duplex drive belt path to permanently fixing this issue.
The other issue could be the pre-reg drive motor. If the paper gets into the duplex area but stops at the pre-reg area, then the gear on the pre-reg motor is usually broken and the gear itself can be reordered from parts drop.

with checking all these good points there is the one way gears the duplex belt drives the rollers with may want to check them as well.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

    Re: C75 won't duplex

After doing all the above steps, even replacing the duplex motor. It says to replace the PH Drive PWB. Anyone done this? It seems like a task that's not too difficult. Any tips or suggestions?
    Thanks

    Re: C75 won't duplex

After further testing entering 077-115 in the component control I get the High Reading, them inserting a piece of paper and reentering the the 077-115 I don't get the low reading. It is a new sensor that was installed also. Does this point to the PWB needing to be replaced?
