    DC250>700i Fuser Roller Compatibility

It is my solemn vow that one day I will be knowledgeable enough to offer this forum something...until then, I'll keep reaping your goodwill.

I recently replaced a DC250 with a 700i. The 700i, has a chip in the Y and C fuser rollers. The DC250, of course, are near new.

I know that the units are not interchangeable, but would I be able to put the DC250 rollers in the 700 unit? My bet is no for some proprietary reason...but...

    Thanks all.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'The 700i, has a chip in the Y and C fuser roller'. You mean Y and C developers, or fuser rollers?

I have used 700 fusers in DC250's (just adjust the small plastic tabs at the bottom inboard of the fusers) and afaik the developer housings are also the same. Developer itself (powder) is different.

All the Xerox production copiers fuser rollers (heat and pressure sleeves) are the same from the 250-c75 so you're good on that.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.
