Xerox 6515 DNI (wifi module not connected) High pitched coil whine

    Hi All

This brand new unit is fine and great. Except when it powers down/ sleep mode there's a high pitched sound that sounds like coil whine from the lower left front side of the unit. It's constant in presence, but non-constant in pitch, but sounds almost like a warbling high pitched frequency. This is incredibly annoying as it's on the desk only 5 feet from my seating. Is there anything I can do about this ? Is it possible that this is a one off or do they all do this ? Can I get a new part or is it a RTB / new unit required ?

I have tried plugging it into the wall directly, and onto a powerstrip but no difference. I removed the wifi module as I read these can affect it but no change.

    Thanks all

this is low voltage power supply. noisy machine is covered by warranty. meanwhile try to set power save on scheduled, 8h-17h for example.
