Overwrite Procedures, which is correct?

I have 2 ways to overwrite Xerox based on information I have been given:

When you login as admin, then service:

1. Maintenance - Initialize Partitions - A Partition- then delete all Certificates and settings. (if an option)

Or

2. Service - Overwrite (1pass) (pretty standard on all Xeroxs I have found)

Which in your professional understanding actually preps the machine to be resold, which would you have rather doner if you were the next tech to have to touch the machine, or does it really matter.

The reason of overwriting them is to wipe customer data (not settings) off the machine, that's all our company does.

it would be better to remove the disk and format it with a PC then the other recordings by accessing from the browser

I access the machine at the machines console. I don't use any web interface, and if I can not get to the HDD from the console (maybe default password changed) then I do use a device just made to wipe drives.

Go to in service mode and use overwrite for two or three time.
