No
Usb port is for diagnostic.
Ethernet is scanner port
No, the DC250 does not have any built-in printing functionality. On this particular lineage of machines (DC240/250 > DC242/252/260 > C550/560/570 > C60/C70 > C9065/C9075), it was not until the Color 550/560/570 series that they implemented the option of a built-in print function.
The "enhanced" version of this family (DCP700/700i, DCP770, C75, J75, V80/180) never implemented the option. They all require a print server.
The WorkCentre versions of the DC240/250 had their own options. The 76xx series didn't use a Fiery print server, but did still require a Xerox print server to print (or even boot up -- they can't be copy only machines). The 77xx series built this Xerox print server internal, and also had the option of a Fiery print server on top of that. Once the Color 550/560/570 came out, with its built-in print option, the WorkCentre version was retired.
You'll have to repair your Fiery. Until then, you have a copy (only) machine.
Yep, Caffeine summed it up perfectly. What's the issue with your Fiery?
Unplug the Fiery from the RJ45 jack on the DC250, and replace it with cable from your network. Go into admin settings and configure the ip address, etc.
Had same problem on a C60 recently and configured network for DHCP. Restarted printer and the network configuration populated and was able to send jobs like it was a desktop printer. Of course, you have to add that printer to you Windows printers and maybe download the driver from Xerox.
The ethernet interface card is for transferring scans only. The DC250 does NOT have on-board RIP capabilities.
