Xerox workcentre 75xx low speed fuser vs high speed fuser

Hello all. From my knowledge, the only difference between the xerox workcentre 75xx fusers, the low and high speed versions, is the logic board wich is mounted on them. I am trying to fit a 7535 fuser on a 7855 machine. Did someone tried anything similar?

The two models have different codes (604K62220, 604K62230) but the assembly is the same, different suppliers put it for both models.

knowing xerox like i do .. i would say the harness isn't the same and gearing won't last as long as the proper unit.

there's a chip model identifier in the fuser just swap it you should be good to go.

Phil, when did the term fuser lamps start? I may still have a manual for a 2400. Swear they were heat rods.

Come to think of it, I don't think the 75's & 78's use heat rods. I think it is some kind of induction heating system that is a mystery to me. Maybe somebody knows.
