Xerox 5890 Energy Saver greyed out

I have a (new to me) Xerox 5890 with a booklet finisher and the energy saver is greyed out in the menu, no matter what setting I set it to.
Scheduled/intelligent makes no difference. The machine will not go into energy saver mode, nor does it show up on screen (greyed out).

Does anyone here know where to change this setting in service mode, if possible at all?
