700i error 027-741

Hi All,

I have a xerox 700i with integrated fiery machine was working fine then had a paper jam and needed to be restarted, now Command workstation can not find the server.

Have checked all cables and connections and everything seems fine. Cannot ping the ip from my pc. The machine will also not print the start up page. All ip addresses are correct,.

On error history print out 027-741 Job template server server connect fail.

Can anyone advise a solution.

what does the LED on the fiery indicate?

havent worked on the 700 in a long time
they are antique
I think that model when the fiery boots up there is an icon on the UI
either Fiery logo or network scanning or something

I only worked on a few and they are notorious for refusing to boot up and come online. Unplug, plug in, power up and wait forever. Over and over until it comes online. Better to talk customer into getting something better.

It is my machine and other than this issue which it is the first time it has happened is printing without issues.

Hi thanks for your input, I have 2 fiery server boxes and both are doing similar things, however I can now ping the fiery.
when I go to web aplications on the 700 it comes back with a message (an error has occurred when communicating with the server) (-100)

Do you have crossover cable between fiery and machine?

yes and have tried 3 different Ethernet cables
