    Exclamation WPSA-100 Expert Help Needed

    My first post never posted, not sure what happened a few hours ago so trying again.

    I have a 7545 WorkCentre. I am not a Xerox Tech at all, but I set it up myself and got it all running and it's fine.

    I added the WPSA-100 and it configured easily. No problems and it prints wirelessly without issue.


    The WPSA-100 is supposed to enable AirPrint for these machines but it is blocked out on mine.

    If you visit this link: Unable to Enable AirPrint on the Xerox Wireless Print Solutions Adapter (WPSA-100) it basically tells you to download the latest firmware and install it.

    I am currently on the stock R1 firmware but need to install R2 or later to fix this problem. Does anyone have this firmware or know where to get it for the WPSA-100?

    I am stuck and cannot use AirPrint which is the only reason I bought this bridge instead of using a cheapie.

    Thanks for the reply, however this is the general release version that is already on there from 2016.

    It says I should upgrade to 1.0.0.1R2 which I believe is after 1.0.0.1 R10.

    Also of note the fix link and the link followed through that fix are post 2016 dating (2017 and 2019) so I have a feeling there is a newer firmware.

    There is clearly a firmware mismatch between the printer and the wireless WPSA-100 and I think that is causing the issue.

    If I am wrong let me know! But the firmware 1.0.0.1 is date 2016 and the fixes were suggested well after that meaning there may be an non General Release version of the firmware?

    Not sure....

    I think that R10 is newer than R2.
    So you can download and try it.

    Could be, but unfortunately R10 is what is already on there. So it looks like I'm stuck with a non-working WPSA-100 for AirPrint which is not all together surprising given Xerox's track record.

    It's not on the list because these WorkCentre machines didn't have AirPrint originally.

    Xerox made the WPSA-100 to add wireless capability to it and AirPrint, and the 7545 is supported by the WPSA-100 to add AirPrint. That is why the thing costs $100 instead of $10. Any wireless bridge could do this, the magic is in AirPrint and paying that fee.

    FYI: Still no luck. I just updated the WorkCentre to the latest firmware direct from Xerox, still the same thing.

    It is definitely the WPSA-100 at this point and no one seems to know anything about this thing including Xerox which I find amazing.

    That is a very good question actually, I don't know the answer, but Postscript 3 is installed, version 3017.102 running at standard image quality.

    So that's not it. Still not luck getting this thing fixed. The more I learn about these Xerox machines and Xerox itself the more I am becoming concerned.
