Check the connector where the drum chip make electrical contact.

I have had this fault be caused by the machine's CRUM connector for the drum to be forced backwards and is not making electrical contact sufficiently.

Remove rear cover, remove flywheel from main drive. open front door and disengage drum and slide out slightly.

At rear, locate machine's CRUM connector and check integrity of the housing.

If everything looks okay, try forcing the connector bracket towards the front of the machine with a screwdriver or bar etc.

Refit flywheel, rear cover, drum and test.
