Paper type keeps changing in Print Properties/Printing Defaults/Paper Type

Getting multiple calls over the past week in a admin building with print jobs requiring resources. Job history shows the print jobs are asking for a different type of paper then whats in the machine. Customer only uses plain white paper. I have to go into printer properties and change the paper type. Customer IT department has no idea why this is happening and blames it on the printers. This is happening on numerous printers throughout the building.

    Any ideas?

I would start from checking paper type settings in driver settings then printer paper type settings in program they are printing from. Also check paper type settings in the printer trays to check if they match.

I don't see a model listed but the Xerox we service (Alta & Versalink) can send prints jobs based on tray, size, type or auto select. You could set the driver to pull from a specific tray, as opposed to paper type. You can also save a pre-set so if type is changed, they only need select the pre-set from the drop box.
If this is shared from a server, the changes will have to be made there.
I would also inspect the job log to see what jobs are triggering a paper type conflict as I have never seen a print driver change any settings autonomously.
