WARNING - Buying manuals from adriansto

Beware of this member adriansto. He had the balls to ask me to buy a service manual for $80 USD. I have been a member for many years and have provided 100's of Konica Minolta manuals & firmware for FREE.

This website is for technicians to help each other not profit from them!

I will be contacting the admin about this.

I also freely send Kyocera manuals and firmware when the opportunity arises. I also have been on Copytechnet for a bit as well.

That being said, I don't have a problem anyone asking money for a manual in this forum. Doesn't mean I'm gonna pay it.

There are plenty of places where one can pay for service and parts manuals. I think if I looked long enough I might find that manual you want copyman for well under $80 US.

It has been my experience that sometimes I might have to ask a couple of times before I can get a certain manual from someone.

Am I offended that adriansto ask money for a manual?

    Nope. Not a bit.

I would just say there is a line between tech and enduser. I never asked money sharing something but understand that some guys here make little side profit. That said asking symbolic price from a tech may be not good idea but 80$ is definitely bad idea.

I started buying all my firmware and manuals from copier tech. His prices are low and I don't like asking other members for that kind of stuff. I know several of you do it for free but I don't like asking for it because I get enough help on here with problems that I'm having on machines and that's good enough for me.

This is fair. I must confess in the past I was harsh with him selling manuals to the techs but your point gives me another clue that maybe I was wrong. Btw I think few here would understand what you are talking about. Again I'm impressed.

Another point to consider is the manuals are "copyrighted" and owned by the OEM not the person selling them! Most people selling manuals are from other countries because there is a chance they could be arrested and charged with copyright infringement in the USA!

You have the right to think it's ok and pay for a manual if you need it. I don't think it's ok and why I provide Konica Minolta manuals for FREE to other known members on this forum with the "contributor" badge under their name.

I can buy the same manual for $12.99 with Google search but saw adriansto offered the manual to someone else in old post so figured I would ask a fellow tech for it first. I hardly ever ask for a manual on this forum. No big deal I will buy the manual online for the $12.99 and be done with it.

If you need anything for Konica Minolta let me know. No charge with me. I don't own the manuals to sell. Perhaps if a hard copy I had to print but can't justify selling a PDF

I just received a PM from someone that needed Kon/Min firmware. Right after I received another PM from a Xerox tech asking me what I needed. This is how it's suppose to work!

A lot of hypocrisy from copyman user. What is the difference between 12.90 usd and 80 usd?Is service manual.net somehow an authorized distributor for Xerox manuals ?

Anyone who has bought manuals from me knows that they received help and information to solve the defect.
    And this at no cost.
I can't ask for payment for informations and service procedures so this is my way of helping, but not for free.
I asked for a price, you can accept or not. I didn't put my hand in your pocket.
    Is that simple !

Merry Christmas to all users of the Copytechnet forum !
