ColorQube 8700 wax printer STREAKS!! never go away

Hello All - I am nursing a rabid pack of ColorQube printers (the ones with the WAX ink cubes)

Our boss wont let them go , and we use them for printing product brochures and booklets.

There is 1 8700x that no matter how many flushes and ink purges I do will consistently run 2 streaks (photo attached, google drive , I CANNOT GET THE COPYTECHNET.COM attachment uploader to work for me!! )

im concerened because though im now using 8580s and 8570s in the fleet, this 8700x one is my favorite one.

It has never been opened by anyone and I dont know who to trust with it, but I am curious if anyone has a guess as to what this vertical streak is all about :/

thanks I am super confused as I take good care of all these machines...

Have you done the "Light Stripes Test" ?

Have you done the "Jet Substitution" after determining which jets are clogged?

Post "Light Stripes Test" pages before and after jet substitution.

Well as you can see, you have a bad jet in the "cyan" area.

I would perform "Jet Substitution" on the bad Cyan jet.

Then run another clean for light stripes.

See how the "clean for light stripes" page looks, make sure there are no more bad jets, and that the "Jet Substitution" for the bad jet shows it has been excluded.

Run the page you previously had a problem with.

Let us know how it turns out.

I will try that but I think it is something to do with the wiper blade or a roller or something. Because the 2 vertical stripes shown in the exact same place on ALL THE PRINTS.

Also I do have 2 black jets that are bad, did you see? Even after JET SUBSITUTION, they are still bad. So now what do I do? (Their only dropping half the ink their supposed to on the lights stripe test)

          thanks!

Okay I see you don't understand the word "SUBSTITUTION" this means you are NOT using those jets when printing.

Xerox allowed up to 2 jets to fail in any one color vertically.

They didn't want to have to replace printheads so they designed 3 jets to cover themselves.

That is why you see Three (3) HORIZONTAL rows of each color when printing the light stripes test.

In your case Cyan Number 173 is bad, so after Jet Substitution the printhead will use jet 172 or 174 to print and not 173.

In the case of the Bad Black jets 178 and 226 they already have Jet Substitution applied ( You can tell Jet Substitution was applied by the Black dot underneath the jet number)

If you want to look for other problems that's up to you, but the example you showed us is a bad jet.

I applied jet substititution on Cyan jet and still get that streak all the way from top to bottom on the full color prints. so its got to be something ... wonder if its a roller.
Wiper blade. I dont want to open this thing. its never been opened since it was born in South Korea.
