Altalink C8055 dadf jam 305-197

It will feed a stack of 70-80 docs SEF, no problem. When I try a single LEF doc, it jams with fault 305-197 'Prohibit Combine Size Jam'. I've cleaned the sensors, rollers, checked the pads (one was sticking). Any ideas? Seen this before?

I had the exact same problem with another C8055 dadf. When I pressed down on the top cover it worked fine. As these are getting older, the plastic isn't holding up. Is there a retrofit for the front latch? That is Xerox's fix. If someone knows the part number I want to order two of them.
