    Hello everybody,
I have here a machine Canon IR C5030i, which produces when printing grayscale around letters. Printed by Win 7 and Win 10 clients with the current UFR II driver. For example, the problem does not occur when copying. I have already tried other paper, but the error moves with.
In appendix times pictures of the problem.

Yours sincerely ud many thanks for answers

This is the same problem as described here: http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/ca...on-ir3570.html
However, there is not in my machine the part, which caused the error there. Has no one to the problem an idea. I can badly replace the fixing unit, with the effect that it is not.

Does not anyone else have an idea?

Are you using genuine Canon toner and drums in this machine?

Re: Canon IR C5030i Gray veil around letters

I use only original drums and toners. With the toner I have changed so far only Magenta and Yellow. What the previous owner has used for black toner I do not know. The machine has also got a new black original Canon drum because the gray print was not so great. After that, the prints was a long time super to now. How can I remove the black toner, if it is not empty yet without disassembling the entire machine?

You can eject the black toner & see if it is genuine or not.

Also check the life of the black dev unit

              Dev unit sounds ok.

              To remove a toner:

Enter Service Mode and navigate to:

              COPIER > OPTION > DSPLY-SW > Level 2 >< T-CRG-SW> Set to "1"

              Power off/on

Now enter Settings / Registration > Adjustment / Maintenance > Maintenance >< Replace Specified Toner >

Can it also lie on the picture drum, since the drum for black was revamped before 1900 pages with an original drum?

I doubt its a problem with the machine since you said.

I have tried PCL driver. The poblem occurs only by black letters. All other colors are ok.

                        HI
                        maybe it helps,

                        irac9000-026.pdf

I had the same problem(only on prints not copies) a year ago on a Canon IR C2025, 3 weeks after I replace the black drum.I replace fuser, make an upgrade on the latest firmware etc.
Only a new drum resolve the problem and until today no further problems.

I have renewed the drum. The delivery takes so long (1 week). But the problem is the same as before.

SIMPLY MORE THAN LIKELY!!! :: Re: Canon IR C5030i Gray veil around letters

Are the "black" letters process black (CMY) or black (K) only???

If it is process black, you are more likely to get this "hazing" or stray of toner dust during registration.

                              ALSO:

Is the text "true" text, which would print sharp, black only text....or is it text that has been turned into a rasterized graphic???

If it is a rasterized graphic, sometimes the "white" around the letters will tend to haze, especially if the compression settings of the file were set to low and the dpi is also low, thus a bit of pixellation!
