    iR5000 is in "WAIT" mode

    Hi to all the readers

iR5000 machine starts with an error 0004 - 0001. My operator did not turn off the machine and leave it open ( 1 hour ). When i go to on svc mode to clear the error, when i ON the machine, its in WAIT mode.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks...

Check the fixing feeder unit connectors and the ones in the inside rear part of the machine. Make sure that these terminal connectors are making proper contact when you slide it in. Check for jammed packed paper inside of those connectors.

I got hung up on the E004 error code, but I agree that your most likely cause of the wait... is a faulty hard drive.

Could be as something as simple as a scrap of paper inside the fixing unit connector
Could be as strange as that
Check both sides of the plug
(On the fixing unit and the 2nd part of the connector inside the device)

Anyone bother to check the thermoswitch? If the coating gets worn off you will see this code.
