Canon IR-C5180i prints coming out to dark

I have a Canon IR-C5180i that what I need to print looks perfect on the laptop screen, but when I send to print the prints come out to dark (not neat) the print is to dark or I can say the colors to dark.

Need to know what to do, I have done all kind of adjustments and nothing. I don't know if this is a problem with the model.

    Thxs in advance.

do u run the Auto-Gradation /do u calibrate the 5180/ daily or weekly-depending on output/ when was the last time drums were changed ?

how are glass copies/ what type of files are u printing ??/ text-photos ??

what u see on a PC or Laptop is not going to reproduce the same on a 5180/ this is a business color machine

I'll post my samples later but I think I may have a solution for you. In the print driver, go to the paper source tab and toggle select by from source to type and select "Heavy" paper. I have one that the text is extremely bold and even has shadows around some it the toner is so heavy. for this job we selected Heavy paper and copies came out perfect.

why would u want to slow down the copy process ? user would have to set up heavy paper locations on control panel / and remember, Heavy Paper settings also cause intermittent issues on this model. Canon has changed the selection method for bypass , to set it for plain paper on some of those 80lb stocks. I managed 35 of these models in one company building with success on that change .

Poster needs to elaborate more on issue/ to vague of a description on CQ

        Bold Fonts When Printing
If When using PCL 6 and printing through a UFRII/PCL Kit-N2

Install and use the UFRII Ver. 2.35 Print Driver. When printing in some applications with small fonts and/or line work, the PCL6 driver will BOLD these areas but the UFRII Driver will print them correctly.

What kind of driver are you using? This will matter.
Of course we must also keep in mind that this is business color unit.
Also consumables like drums can throw your colors off.

This is the problem I had at an account that uses the UFR driver. I'll check on the version next week but just for this one job we set it to heavy paper on the driver and forced it on plain at the copier. It probably is an old driver since they've had it about 1 year though. PCL6 made no difference. If the newer UFR II will fix this I will definitely give that a try.

This was the bad print with standard settings

And this is with the driver set to heavy but forced to plain at the copier
