The finisher is connected via a coaxial cable with bnc connectors, make sure that it is not directly connected , you need the t-shaped connectors with the termination resistor attached to make it work correctly. Also make sure, that, after first install of finisher the mashine has done its full power down cycle (you will see it on the display, it tells you when to operate the main switch) otherwise it will not store the new settings/equipment.

Use additional function to turn off limited function.Finisher must be turn on before copier!
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

do u have a message on the control panel that says Limited Function ??

Is there a software version for the finisher displayed in service mode.

Check if the dip switch bank on the finisher controller are in the 'OFF' position.
If so change both switches to the 'ON' position and power cycling all components

                  Enter Service Mode :
COPIER > OPTION > ACCPST-D , if the finisher is properly connected then the display looks like this :

                  ACC1 FINISHER 00001001 01 < --- ENTER 1 THEN OK, RESET 2x.

SHUT DOWN THE MACHINE AND THE FINISHER, TURN ON THE FINISHER AND THE MACHINE.
