IR 400 Error E 677

I got error from canon IR 400 (E 677)

i have system software for printer (V2.1)

pls let me guide, how to format printer Hard disk and how to install that

system software?

Please, any one help me.

the problem is a connection problem between the printer board and the machine..
the first thing i would do is check and reconnected the printer boards and the connection box they plug into..witch is at the rear of the machine .. would not do software until i found out what the problem is...i have found one machine that the connection box did not have a outside cover so it would not hold the boards tight...

There are two possible instances of this error message:
1. When the board boots up, the board experiences a wait and then reports an E677 (with either sub code 0001, 0002, or 0003).
2. While printing, the board fails and reports an E677 (sub code 0004).


Workaround :
When the printer board is installed on the imageRUNNER 330 / 400, it communicates with the image processor board via its connection to the System Motherboard PCB. The copier low voltage power supply provides power to the printer board via its connector J8201. When the copier is powered up, communication takes place between the copier IP and the printer board.
Communication Failure at this point will most likely cause the copier Error code E677 with a subcode of 0001,0002 or 0003.
This lack of communication can be caused by a bad cable, a non seated card, or corrupted installation of System Software.
In this case, try to format the Hard Drive and reload System Software. If the problem continues, try replacing the printer board. The printer board H1/K1 can be sent to Nationwide or Hytec for repair.
An error code E677 with a subcode of 0004 however, may be caused by either an overheating CPU or low voltage being supplied to the printer board. Follow the procedure indicated in Technical Publication CIB-T052 for those printer boards which continue to exhibit error codes of E677 with a subcode of 0004.
Note: Since error codes E677 were reported frequently with different subcodes, Canon decided that all boards be screened. After the screening a colored dot was placed on the board near the AUI port. As of now, a Yellow dot means that it has passed screening and should work. Eventually the board will be modified and the dot will be Red showing the board has modification and has passed screening.
