Error code E246-0005 on ir3300i

Hi eveyone.

I have this problem on a ir3300i (E246-0005). I have already change the boot flas dimm and nothing happened. Also change the ram memory and still the same. I clean all the contacts with electronic spray and specially the counter board and still the same. I hope anyone can help me.

The Error depends on if you have replaced the counter PCB to an old one (from another machine) or if the Counter PCB connection is not fixed properly to the main Controller.
However it can also depend on if the Counter PCB has reached the maximum reading approx.1.200 000.
The solution is to put the original counter PCB back into the machine together with the original Main Controller and the original Serial PCB, if the error persist replace the Counter PCB to a brand new one.

Keep in mind that playing around with these PCB's may end up in an endless problem.

IF (a big if) you have not been messing around trying to beat/cheat the Counter PCB, an off the wall issue may be the fax modem. Again, IF you have not messed with the Counter PCB (or tried to reset the meter) try removing the fax modem PCB and see if the problem goes away.
