Inspect the rear latch on side jam door. If you have replaced rollers, and clutches, it could be broken. Black on black part is hard to see. But has been the issue on a couple of our machines.

      Re: c652 tray 3 jams

KM also has a update for this issue, the TAD # is TAUS0902737EN03.

      Subject:
Jam code 13-01 (1301), 17-09 (1709) or 17-30 when feeding paper from Tray 3 (1500-sheet). Jamming may be intermittent (more frequent if feeding thin paper).

      Description:
      Jam code 13-01 (1301), 17-09 (1709) or 17-30 when feeding paper from Tray 3.
      Solution:
      PROBABLE CAUSES:
      1. The conveyance roller located in the Tray 3 feed unit has worn down due to low quality paper which changes the diameter of the conveyance rollers. This causes the paper, when fed, to contact the white plastic pressure rollers below the conveyance rollers. This happens after approximately one million feeds from Tray 3.
      Replace the conveyance roller (p/n A00J 6011 11).

      2. Paper is stopping at the paper feed roller because the Timing Belt/96L (p/n A00J 6198 00) has run off the Pulley/14T (p/n A00J 6196 00) onto the Washer (p/n A00J 6029 00).
Replace the original pulley with the modified Pulley/14T (p/n A00J 6196 11) and the original washer with the modified Washer (p/n A0P0 6640 00).
Note: Please refer to the attached Technical Notice and Parts Modification Notices for more detail.

      3. The 3rd and subsequent sheets of paper jam in the Tray 3 Horizontal Transport section. The activation timing of Tray 3 paper feed sensor (PS21) is later than the designed basis time because thin paper may sag at the detection point of the actuator for PS21. The stop timing of the paper is delayed, and the distance between the paper and the previously fed sheet becomes narrower. Consequently, Horizontal Transport sensor (PS29) cannot detect the lead edge of the paper and a jam occurs.
      Install modified parts:
      • Adding two ribs on Paper feed base frame/1 (p/n A00J 6001 04).
      • Shape change to Actuator (p/n A00J 6040 02).

Please replace the Paper feed base frame/1 and Actuator with the modified parts at the same time.
The Paper feed units are also modified (p/n A00J R757 11 for bizhub C451/C550/C650 and p/n A0P0 R722 11 for bizhub C452/C552/C652). Please refer to the attached technical and parts notices for more detail.
      Notes:
      a. The modified parts have been installed in production of the bizhub C552DS/C652DS.
      b. If the actuator is still not resolving the issue, install plastic material 2-3mm thick to the edge of the actuator to PS21. This will cause the paper to strike the actuator sooner.

      Please see attached photos.
      c. This has been escalated to KMBT.

      4. The main body firmware was upgraded, but the FS-526 finisher firmware was not upgraded at the same time.

        Good Info, Thanks bizhub1. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The part your thinking about is the Bizhub 750/751 p/u roller..much better then the original for paper feed..pull the rubber of the shaft and put on the original feed roller shaft..you have to shave it down about 1/2 inch. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

c452 series tray 4 feed assembly is compatible with the c451 series too for anyone distressed at the fact that only the individual parts are listed in the c451 parts manual.

have done it a few times, never had an issue.

                        Hi Emujo,

Would you have a part nr. for that p/u roller. Cheers. I want to give it a try.

                          Re: c652 tray 3 jams

                          Hi all,

Had similar issue on Bizhub 552 today, ordered and replaced the tray 3 feed assy as it was indeed out of date per bulletins. No difference. Paper from tray 3 only would skew and crumple, sometimes jam. Tore apart and inspected/cleaned the "level conveyance section" and right side door. No difference. Took out tray 2 to watch paper pass from tray 3, was skewing in "level conveyance section".

Further observed paper lifting in tray 3. Looked higher at the rear lead edge. Took out paper (maybe 100 sheets) inspected lifting of tray 3, looked fine. Putting paper back in I noticed 10 dog eared sheets at bottom of pile, looked fine in tray but was lifting the paper just enough at the rear lead edge to catch and skew going through the p/u feed assy.

Sadly I normally check the paper first but it really looked fine in the tray, I even fanned it and didn't see the dog eared sheets.

                          Issue resolved for me.

                          Cheers,

                          Colin

Good thread, I have had that broken door latch on a couple of machines. Its easy to miss. Also some techs are not using the right tools to remove the feed unit and breaks the plastic housing near the clutches. You cant remove it with your normal screwdriver without removing tray one and two first, only shows a crack but causes the machine to jam.

If you remove the 2 screws from the rail (1 on each side) that prevent the tray from rolling out all the way you can easily get to the rear screw for the feed unit.
