Can C550 fuser units be reset like the C350,C250?

Let me clarify what I meant. Can you reset the count on a C550 fuser, by replacing a fuse?

Yes the C550 has a little green fuse to enable resets. Just stick a new one in and off you go. The TBU has a glass fuse also.

I don't know how long the fuser will last as it clicks from new !!

Thanks Bizhub. I was successful in reset both a TBU and Fuser. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. I did a inspection of the fuser, all things considered after 297k it looked very good. I am really anxious to find out how long they will last.

For anyone who wants to know a good place to get the fuses that will work on the various models to reset fusers and TBU , go to US - Electronic Components Distributor | Newark.com and search for item #48K9877 or S500-80MA-R. Sense we are a large company we got them for 79 cents.

The reset fuser made it to a second life. I went ahead and replaced it. So it does work. Since I have reset a couple more, will let everyone know the outcome.
