First clean the optics, then calibration strip on platen glass.
Pull all Imaging units out from the front. Inside there is four LED arrays (directly vertical print head) and to the right of each of them there is LED (SMD) drum erase strip. Clean both with the padded stick which is located on the inside if front door, there is usually a bag with spare pads should you need fresh one( next to toner hoppers).
Once clean, put IU's back in and right hand door and remove 2 screws holding transfer belt release brackets. Then open left hand door and remove waste box, the pull Image transfer belt out, handle should pop out about 1/3 way out. Check ITB for heavy wear if any and try to locate a white timing square on one side of the belt. Clean it up bright. Then have a look from the right hand side of machine and locate the front and rear IDC sensor which reads Image Transfer Belt calibration patterns (under a metal slider moving back to front) cotton but dampen in alcohol should be fine. Then slide ITB back in secure with 2screws and waste box back in.
Go to service > Image Process Adjustment > Stabiliser > Initialise+Image Stabilisation > Press Start . when sequence is done step back to Gradation Adjust and perform each mode 3x Gradation Mode, Resolution Mode, High Compression Mode. The Adjust spec value should be in range of 0+-100 for dark and 0+-60 for Highlights. This process involves printing patterns and placing them on the glass to be scanned. It is recommended to do it on A3 and once on glass cover it with 10 extra sheets of blankA3. When all done, exit image process adjustment, press start , when sequence is finished exit service mode shut machine down for 10sec and boot up.

If problem persits, some IU might be shot. Transfer roller usually laaaaast long.

To test IU's in service go to Test Mode and select Gradation Pattern or Halftone and Print CMYK. If K is iffy try BLACK 1PC. That will roll only BK IU. Check for any missing image, the usual like on Canons

    Merry Christmas

Excellent response. The only thing I would add would be to clean the LED arrays by reaching in from the waste toner box side after the belt has been removed. It's easy to get your arm inside and use a damp cloth to give those LEDs a nice cleaning.
