    1) Format the CF card on the printer.
    2) Download firmware.
    3) Unpack firmware to the PC (it comes compressed). There are two files: system and engine. Only one file at a time can be loaded and present on the card.
    4) Copy the un-compressed engine firmware file from the PC to the root of the CF card.
    5) Power Off printer.
    6) Insert CF card.
    7) Power On.
    8) Wait for a while. (That's a Konica Minolta message, but I like the ambiguity of the statement.) Watch for firmware level, date, and checksum when complete.
    9) Power Off printer.
    10) Copy the un-compressed system firmware file from the PC to the root of the CF card. Delete the engine firmware file.
    11) Power Off printer.
    12) Insert CF card.
    13) Power On.
    14) Wait for a while. Watch for firmware level, date, and checksum when complete.
    15) Power Off printer.
    16) Remove CF card.
    17) Power On.

    That's the whole thing.

Make sure your CF card is not too big. 128MB or less is preferable.
Be absolutely sure that its the right firmware for the right model. If it's not you can corrupt the engine PWB, and have to replace it.
Let me know if you get stuck. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Re: FC-C5025N

Keep in mind that only the printer models accept only one firmware file at a time. The MFP's require the complete firmware package, and it loads all of the files consecutively.

Just to add to your confusion, some of the older models do not require formatting of the CF card, like the KM-6030/8030. Folders must be removed if the card has been formatted.

Most of the newest models use USB sticks for firmware. There are a few machines in the transition period (Stratos, Falcon III, and CS-420i/520i) that can load firmware both ways. When I have the option I prefer the CF card method.

When choosing memory, select the smallest card that will hold the firmware. You'll have the best results.

Confusing? No, call it Kyocera. =^..^=
