    Hello All

I am a new technician at a company where I live. I have only been here for just now 90 days and my boss told me about this forum when I first started. It's been a great resource and very helpful. I always come here when I get stumped which is often at this stage haha. I really enjoy my job though and I hope to contribute to this community and learn things from it.

    Thanks,

    D

        G'day...

90 days as a copier Technician, your head is still above water, that's a good thing...

First rules about learning any new field of knowledge :

        1. Leave your ego at the door on entry.

        2. No question is a silly question.
Its better to ask a question and look like a fool for five minutes, than to remain a fool for the rest of your life.
I've had many people say to me "thank god you asked that question in the classroom";they were to scared too".

        3. You've got to step outside your comfort zone once in a while if you're going to walk a successful career path.

        4. Find a job you love doing and you'll never work a day in your life.......

        .
        .
        .
        PS.
A Techs life consist mostly of mourn-alot, laugh-alot, winge-alot and wine-alot, beer-alot and if things get really bad rum-alot.....

          Welcome! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

In a way I envy you. Sometime in the next 2 to 3 years you'll be working on something, and it will occur to you that you actually know what you're doing. It's the lightbulb moment.

It won't last. Eventually you'll figure out that it's impossible to know everything you really need to know, and equally impossible to remember the things that you did learn. But if you can find a way to record it, it helps. Some of us keep an Excel database. Others write their own personal bulletins. Copytechnet posts are another way to record those crucial details. Do whatever works for you. =^..^=
