Re: 3d printing real?
From what I've seen, while most of the output from the current batch of 3D printing is plastic, this it is real.

Re: 3d printing real?
I have an account that is the local dealer for these machines.
Got to see them up close.
They said copier techs would have no problem migrating to 3d.
Uses the same principles as a copier. Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?Comment

Re: 3d printing real?
Yust two days ago there was a TV representation of a local company that does 3D printing
It was live show on a local TV
They brought 3D printer in the studio and while the show went on,printer was printing an object.
What came out in the end was totally distorted object of what they wanted to print.
They said it was due to not right humidity in the studio....Comment

Yes it appears that 3D printers are the way of the future for many industries and medicial institutions.
I have seen documentories on large scale 3D printer being used to manufacture abstract concrete products.
I've seen 3D printer used to print bronze statues. They print a figure using sand or iron powder and then infuse it with nickle. The nickle object is then placed in a furnace with bronze filings and melted into the printed statue to crete a bronze figure of any object.
A fellow technician I spoke with informed me of a process of printing a human heart. They use a process of stem cells to build a new heart. If I'm to believe the rest of the story they even got the heart to start beating...
They are already rebuilding broken bones in the human body using a 3D printer process. They print using calcium phosphate which is simliar to human bone. They graph the new bone into the patient and the human body then replaces the 3D printed bone with natural bone.
I believe the future is exciting for all new copier technicians...Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

Re: 3d printing real?
Not only is it real, it's been around for at least the past 5~6 years with a push. (some 3d printing has been going on for a lot longer than that) It's an AMAZING tech and it's something you should look forward to seeing a lot of in the near future.
On a side note, it's not 3D printing but they are using an ink jet type printer to print new skin on burn victims which is really cool.Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

I'm not overly fussed on all the extra tomato sauce that would come with this type of clean up job either.
Have cleaner will use. Stand back..... lookout....Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...
