    MPC6502 sc670 and sc819

I have a copier throwing sc672-11 and sc819's. On ricoh's suggestion i replaced the 900 dollar controller board and was told to cut all cable ties to Op panel and reseat all connectors from op panel to IOB AND all other IOB connectors. UPDATED Firmware. 2 weeks later Now I get SC670's and SC819's. Any Thoughts?

EDIT customer called ..672-11 just reoccurred..

SC819 will occur when the customer direct print from website.suggest cust to download first then print or update the firmware.

I did all firmware when I replaced the controller.....but I will check versions.

Also it will error out sometimes when you turn it on. The screen hangs for about 3 to 5 minutes then drops to the sc670

For 670 if you have mailbox you must update the firmware also (mailbox-ontario-d)
search in the attachement for 670 you will find it

No. They have a database look up for when you first call in. They should have given you a case/reference number. When the quick fixes don't work and you call back in on the same case number, you will either get a product specialist or if you get another help desk tech who will seek the assistance of a product specialist. If you keep having the same problem you will either eventually the product leader or you can fill out an escalation request and Ricoh will schedule a regional rep visit.

I dunno. Sometimes the dartboard method seems pretty apt. Last problem we had was a MP401 where the OP panel buttons were all wacky. Push the start button and it goes to sleep. Called the hotline and suggestion I got was replacing the OP panel. Which is a $525 part. We replaced the two PCBs that the buttons are on for a total of less than $100. Problem solved.

If your getting SC670-OO,try disconnecting the flat ribbon cable & power connector on the PFB PCB ,you should get SC 665-03 straight away, machine boots. The PFB PCB is fried,I alsohad 3 damaged tandam tray sensors which caused my 670.Worth a shot!
