Got a stumper here. I have a customer who uses this machine for labels and perforated paper (plain paper thickness) on a daily basis. Have tried numerous configuration settings, rebuilt the fuser (all parts), replaced paper exit and junction gate. As they run their jobs the machine will jam and it is always at the same location. As the leading edge gets into the paper exit about half way it jams. You can see damaged to the paper but after inspecting the fuser and paper exit I see nothing physically wrong in those areas of the machine. The machine does curl the paper during fusing. I have tested the machine in a different environment than the customers and I do get the curl also. Some days it runs fine no issues. Other days it will chew up a rheem of paper whether it's fresh paper or old . Any ideas?

Re: MP 301 Jamming
Perforated paper is not supported on this little 301.

Re: MP 301 Jamming
Good quality paper is the simple solution to curl & jamming.
Also when you load card in the bypass make sure you change the try paper setting to the correct size.
The paper only curls passing through the fuser due to high moisture content.Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

I agree 100% unfortunately the customer has used the same paper for a couple years now. They claim it's not been an issue till now. We have the machine at the shop now so we are gonna test it. Looking for testing ideas other than the standard tests normally used. I've used every trick in the book thus far.Comment

Works for me.
Try another browser, or simply Google the title.
Here it is again anyway

Re: MP 301 Jamming
There you go , in case the link was googlafied with an advert overlay/redirect.
I always post a visible text URL along with the CTN automated URL for the above reason.

P.S. I might get around to posting some DIY firewall code that will disable google, amazon advert redirect servers for CTN. That way people can take control of their own CTN web pages once again.Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

Re: MP 301 Jamming
Paper also curls when problems occur with ventilation => build up of moisture because it is not transported out of the machine due to a broken fan OR a fan outlet filled with dust.
If not filled with dust, take of al the covers that is possible and make prints: is the paper still curling?
If no: bad ventilation is your problem.Comment
