    MP 4001 no printing

I have strange problem in hand.
Machine MP4001, on Auto IP, all protocols on except IPV6.
Machine connected to WiFi router, Single computer on DHCP connected to WiFi, all firewall OFF, OS win7 professional.
WIM & Scan to folder works OK. Installed printer driver by clicking on network through network printer listed.

Now when test page or print given, 'SOMETIMES ONLY' data light keeps on blinking but no printout.
Most of the time no data light, but in both the cases print gets cleared from print spooler.
I also tried with static IP for PC as well as my own laptop using cross cable. Same result.
Machine pings well with no time lag at all.
I don't know what I am missing. Any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance.

Have you checked that user authentication is not enabled?

Otherwise.....I've picked up a few machines for refurbishing lately that I've seen similar issues. There seems to be some setting enabled that prevents printing. I've not found the specific setting, but I've resolved it by doing a memory clear on all of the network settings (basically everythig except engine), then re-input the settings into the machine and everything was fine

A bit late, but anytime I have these type of issues I start by initializing the NIC, Sp5801-11. That will put it back to factory defaults.

Delete printer and reinstall using the correct driver from Ricoh-usa. Do not let the OS install the printer with a "Ricoh class" driver, or as a web services device (WSD). Set a staic IP for the machine to avoid DHCP glitches.

A follow up would be good. What was the fix?
